Though the #AIMoratorium has been struck down, we have work to do. This provision was one part of Trump's #BigBadBill, which includes biometric surveillance funding that local police and US Customs & Border Protection can use against us.

First of all, what was the #AIMoratorium?
Introduced by Senator Ted Cruz, it was a provision as part of Trump’s larger #BigBadBill that would prevent states from enforcing any regulation restricting AI for 10 years.
It was later tied to deny states any federal broadband funding.

It's time for Congress to give up on the #AIMoratorium, the Senate has had enough tries. And their latest version is worse than their prior versions.

The #AIMoratorium is textbook AI accelerationism.
Perhaps the most disingenuous #AIMoratorium take I've read. I guess by "creating a single national standard" he means creating *no* standard whatsoever? The standard is lawlessness.
