It's disappointing to see Murray Watt spend his 'political capital' - not on taking on the unsustainable logging, salmon & fossil fuel industries - but on rolling LEAN (Labor Environment Action Network) & strengthening the ALP/Coalition duopoly in Australian politics.

The decline in Australian rates of union membership kicked off with the ALP/ACTU Accords and has never recovered. I don't agree with it all, but the bones are about right in my recall.

This is obvious! What a time for the #ALP to dither about anthropomorphic #ClimateCatastrophe while being distracted by the Orange Turnip in #US and his delaying tactics. Shame.

Penny Wong accidentally saying the quiet bit out loud - for Labor the US relationship is more important than the Australian environment. Who do this lot think they work for?

Prior to #Labor being elected. I warned everyone not to vote for Labor, for in 'opposition', the ALP nodded or winked at every LNP policy, and with the genocide of #Gaza known, the peasants lined up again to vote for Zionist Anthony Albanese, in the Catholicity/Mediterraneanism of Oz! #Auspol

Senate fun today:

Farrell brags about changes to electoral rules that secure ALP/LNP duopoly.

"Farrell’s time quickly runs out saving that skerrick of life force I still have after having listened to him for these past couple minutes"

I've reconfigured my thinking on the ALP over the last period and am convinced now that membership is a public declaration of your own status as a political gelding.

#auspol Why are the Dutch elections interesting for Australia. The surprise rise of the D66 party. "Democrats 66 a social liberal and progressive party on the centre to centre-left." One wonders if there will be a new party between the Greens and the demonstrably RW ALP?

Fraser was involved in dismissing our elected Government so I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. Yes, the ALP has lost its way but can find their way back; not unfortunately with Albo. Such a disappointment.

Sorry, but I can't accept a false equivalence response. The ALP gave us Medicare and the LNP spend time and money trying to destroy it. I got my first degree because of St Gough and sole parent mums got a pension. I could go on but you get my drift and I won't be moved, although Albo disappoints.

Yep, it would be good to see more unions get on board with Greens and other alternatives. But as many are run by ALP apparatchiks there is not too much scope for that I guess? I just hope ALP & LNP continue their continued slide in primary votes and that other options become viable.

It seems that the ALP is spending their "political capital" on p!ssing off the Greens & the 'left' of their own party to appease their fossil fuel donors.
Murray Watt the fvck? The loggers & frackers will be happy.

#auspol A good read as to the state of play with the EPBC environmental law reforms👇
