It's called the MoCA test and it doesn't just test for ALZ; it's a broad cognitive impairment test for certain characteristics of cognition including short-term memory, focus, and executive function. It seems to me that folks w/ ADHD would have trouble with these sections, so perhaps ADHD folks […]

I've been part of 3 ALZ studies, this guy has no idea what a cognitive test is - if he can't remember more the 5 words or draw a clock we have even more problems on our hands, cuz he's out selling off our country for loyalty pledges w/NDA's to anyone that will pay to play his stupid games!

I've been part of 3 ALZ studies, they aren't just 5 words memorize or draw a clock; they were 20+ words - upper & lower case extra points; time limit reading 2 pages and answering questions; 52 cards turned over & remembering where they are; if his mouth is open we figure he & SteveM are- lying!

The tests are for detection of cognitive decline. My Mom and her Mom both passed with Dementia. I also have a sister in her late 70s with ALZ. I want to know if/when I get loopy. I live amongst nosy neighbors. 👍🏻 I carry a Quo Vadis appointment book with notes. No need to recall single use info.

I've been in 3 ALZ studies, they weren't memorizing 5 words or drawing a clock face - they were trying to remember 20+ words/capitalized or not, read a 2 page story and having to answer questions, seeing an upright deck of cards/then turned over and remembering where the 52 cards were!?

Mom passed away New Years Day 2016 from Alz. A brilliant funny woman. You realize how powerful love is w moments of recognition. It’s the longest goodbye ever yet you’re never ready for the end, like you imagine you would be.
I cherish all those moments w her. I know how tough this is. I’m so sorry

Trump got an MRI.
You get a MRI of the brain to determine what causes the Cognitive,Memory and Language issues that he is having.
Certain areas seen in the scan can determine if you have vascular dementia, Alz or AD, or any others

May have been done to R/O CVA due to recent facial droop, slurring, loss of balance, etc. If he’s having TIA’s there won’t be evidence on the mri. If they suspect Alz, an amyloid PET would be done (or blood test), although brain shrinkage will show on mri.

Challenging young people to take a cognitive test specifically for when you're old and on the edge of dementia or ALZ seems like a weird flex, but not unsurprising coming from the guy who if he were fifty years younger, would tell you that a lack of Steam cheevos in your game means you are a pleb.
