Addison’s disease has its own agenda. This crisis was precipitated by stress. It happened so fast this time. This is why I advocate for rare diseases. I have an invisible disease that is life threatening and try to spread awareness so others can also advocate. #Addisonsdisease 🧵

I am dealing with possible #addisonsdisease - low aldosterone doesn't just affects your hormones. It dictates your mood. I'm back to being unpredictably moody, anxious, and depressed.

This means everyone will be back to hating me and blaming me.

PSA for people with #AddisonsDisease: If you have cold symptoms, it's worth doing a combo COVID/Flu/RSV RAT test.

I've tested positive for RSV. I'd never heard of it before. It can cause pneumonia, fever, dehydration 🚩.

I'm Sick Dosing, upping fluids, monitoring vitals, resting.

When diagnosed many of us learn that without pacing our energies & rest, we would only be making our situation worse. This means every rest, nap, "Addy" or "Spoonie" day you have is productive, caring & important.
