and she had children with him such as Eros and Phobos. Her relationship with Adonis was also profoundly passionate, and she went to great lengths to have him, even journeying to the underworld to secure him after his death.

Aphrodite did not have one "true love" yet was deeply passionate about several individuals, notably the war god Ares and the mortal Adonis. Her love for Ares was an intense, passionate affair involving constant infidelity and cheating on both ends,
