BC is proud to support California’s wildfire response.
We know the impact of wildfires, and California has helped us in the past—now it’s our turn.
Huge thanks to BC Wildfire Service crews for your hard work at home and beyond! 🌲🔥

CAL FIRE has asked for a senior management team from BC Wildfire Service – They will be departing imminently.

We're also working to send ground crews as part of a national response.

California has been there for us, we will be there for them. That’s what good neighbours do.

Important update about #BCWildfires 🚨

A mix of warm, dry conditions and strong winds has the potential to drive up wildfire risk across much of southern BC.

The #BCWildfireService is urging people to postpone any open burning and to use extra caution in the days ahead.

Based on weather conditions, the #BCWildfireService are urging all to not conduct any open burning on May 1 & 2.

High temperatures, low humidity & windy conditions - especially in the Cariboo & Kamloops Fire Centres - will contribute to elevated fire danger.
