An underappreciated fact in The Discourse is that the ultimate cinematic American bully -- Biff from Back to the Future -- was modeled on Donald Trump (look it up). The entire MAGA movement is centered on bullying. Fight back peacefully and with ridicule and it will wobble and fall over.
Some folks were worried that they'd sic thugs on the protestors or declare martial law. Instead they posted AI videos and complained.

Time to remind everyone that the writer of the movie “Back to the Future” said that the character Biff Tannen — an aggressive, selfish bully — was inspired by Donald Trump. A truckload of manure falls on top of Biff three times in the movie trilogy.
