It's Fleet Week in Portland, which means some big military ships will be cruising up the Willamette River to help celebrate the annual Rose Festival. It also means commuters should be prepared for some longer than normal bridge lifts that could back up traffic.
Fleet Week returns. Here’s what that means for Portland commuters
The Broadway, Steel and Burnside bridges will be the most impacted by lifts, which could take up to 45 minutes. The lifts will occur from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and again on Monday, June 9 as they depart.
