Una recomendación que he tomado de Cristina Garrigós. Espero echarle el diente pronto. ¡Un agradable descubrimiento! #AmericanStudies #CatherineLacey #BiographyofX

Echoing appreciation with the repost and noting my heartbreak and anger after scotus decisions and radical republican budget bill…also reminds me of the dystopian books that feel so real today

Really appreciated this post—it’s the most hopeful and helpful thing I’ve read in a long while.

It’s beginning to feel that this book is constructed of a unique constellation of my own personal fixations. Like it was made just for me. Does your copy include Connie Converse? Denis Johnson? I might be in love or I might be unwell. #currentlyreading #BiographyofX

I’m currently haunted by this one: “The title of this book—as titles so often are—is a lie. This is not a biography, but rather a wrong turn taken and followed, the document of a woman learning what she should have let lie in ignorance.”

There are few things I love as much as fiction pretending to be nonfiction. Show me a novel with footnotes and you can watch the goosebumps rise.

So much illuminated in the characters and scene setting by @catherinelacey.bsky.social…another roaring episode of laughter from this reader, such a perfect distillation of so much of contemporary art scene culture & particular ways #biographyofx

Despite craziness, squeeze joy reading or jotting down thoughts or talk to friends (imaginary writer friends); be grateful to @catherinelacey.bsky.social for another good belly laugh at this note re “more depressing than the Bell Jar” which, feels also like a review of teenage years. #biographyofx
