A stunning single cask from Bruichladdich!!
Distilled on the 17th of April 2014, this unpeated beauty was aged in a 1st Fill Saint-Estèphe, a bold red wine from the Bordeaux region in France!!

ローソン限定ハイボール。最近のローソンはクロナキルティやビッグピート等、かなり野心的な本格ハイボール缶をリリースしており、その流れ。
淡く黄色いシャンパンのようなカラー。シェリーの香りと、臭くない華やかなわずかに臭いピート香。
味はガツンとピートのインパクトがあり、きちんとしたハイボールを飲んでる感。味と香りだけだとバーで出てきてもおかしくない。税込600円とソコソコ高額だが、ウイスキー換算だと70ml入ってるので、バーで飲むより(下手したら瓶で買うより)お得。
長くなったので余談はALT欄へ。

Bruichladdich is such a damn good distillery!
Big fan of the Classic Laddie and was stoked to give their Port Charlotte 10y a try. Each sip is like taking a peaceful nap on a velvety peat blanket. Smoother than a q ball

Time to see where this 16.2 fits in. Initial thoughts: lemons and prune juice on the nose, not much peat. On the palate salty peat, lemons, pear drops, slightly bitter grapefruit, spicy mollasses. Very nice indeed. #whisky

A one of a new expressions from Bruichladdich distillery is Octomore 16.3 single malt #whisky. It`s a high peated single estate Islay barley grown in Church Field on Octomore Farm, Islay.

Birthday night Meal in the Bridgend Hotel, Food was exceptional. Had Pan Fried Islay Scallops followed by Pan Fried Duck Breast. Finished off with a Laddie 18.
Also bumped into an old #Whisky Friend, Allan Logan, I'm saying old he was just a bairn when we first met at #Bruichladdich Distillery!
