I think morenatsu has more sprites per character than most furry visual novels these days.
I wonder what the budget for that entire project was...unless there wasn't one at all. Which would be even more surprising.

A quick update: the next build is written and will have 4 backgrounds + 2 CGs. Backgrounds are the hardest part for me, especially the colors and shading, so I'm really sorry it's taking me a while to finish.

I've really come around on the original Umineko sprites this read around, I'll miss the CGs but I think the exaggerated and somewhat "amateurish" way they're draw gets across who the characters are quite well, and honestly they're often nicer to look at than the PS3 sprites
