Labour's base is made up primarily of the sort of people who have historically annoyed them at CLP meetings.

I do have a genuine theory that part of the problem is he's trying to run the country like a CLP and the problem is that if you crush the left they do not, in fact, quit the country and cease to be a factor

NT fails on water, has a self-serving pastoral industry effectively administering its own laws and a CLP appointed ‘Territory Coordinator” who is a former gas company executive able to ‘step in’ on most laws safeguarding the environment.
Devolving Commonwealth powers for environmental protection & assessment to states & territories is a longstanding goal of Big Business that the LNP repeatedly failed to accomplish

👀post👇 for why It's a terrible idea

Will the @albomp.bsky.social govt deliver to Big Business what the LNP couldn't❓

This would explain a great deal of why Labour are being so shit at governing.

(CLP= Constituency Labour Party

If it's got any members left now, after their treatment of the Caerphilly CLP. Disgraceful to block a popular local candidate & parachute in Starmer's choice. CLP activists rightly went on strike & Starmer & the Labour Party reaped what they sowed. Well done Plaid, a much deserved win.

Having attended CLP meetings together I’d go as far as to say generational talent, no one does it like her

@jaylansalah.bsky.social from @insessionfilm.bsky.social had this to say about In the Mood for Love (at #1 on her CLP list submission):

"If filmmaking through every use of its tool could be encapsulated into a film, if there is something as “perfection” in art, nothing beats this film..."

In the NT, First Peoples are under sustained attack by this racist CLP government who are destroying Country, locking up so many of our kids, and undermining justice at every level.

The federal government must step in and use its powers to pull the violent CLP into line.

Last week @northdurhamlabour held their annual dinner – and what a night it was! Great to see so many friends and colleagues coming together. Thanks to the CLP for organising such a wonderful event and to guest speaker Joanathan Reynolds MP for joining us.

I mean people seem to have wilfully forgotten as they quite like the idea of her, but she had a past of saying some utterly foul things that would have precluded her from becoming an MP had Corbyn's team and Unite not decided to go into bat for her. Her CLP opposed her selection.

So you supported both the 2019 manifesto and the current Labour economic policies, despite them being complete opposites?

Is it the symbology of Labour that attracts you? The colour red perhaps? Does your CLP serve particularly nice biscuits or something?

Do you think the trans allies who are still in the party are not also heartbroken? I've been to multiple CLP meetings where members have been in tears over it.

We understand and respect that to stay and fight is too painful for many LGBT people, but someone needs to.

NT Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro (CLP) is doing this either out of reckless negligence toward, or with the intention of, procuring trans women inmates for the purpose of having them raped.

This is what sending trans women to men's prisons does. This is all it ever does. This is what it is for.
The NT Government is importing culture wars, and putting the safety and welfare of trans women prisoners at serious risk, by announcing they will send trans women to men's prisons. #auslaw #trans #transphobia
