The role @theHSSIB are saying is essential for safety is basically primary nursing, this is what #nurses on wards did & clinical nurse specialists, district nurses etc still do. Essential for safety/efficiency but im still asked to prove their worth #CNSValue

We found across specialisms people needing palliation that proactive case management by CNS was a much better option than routine OP and patients had more equitable access to care & MDT if required #CNSValue

A study on outpatient palliative care use in patients with serious illnesses highlights barriers to equitable access & sustained care. Factors affecting clinic attendance in patients with advanced cancer, CHF, COPD, and ESRD were looked at.
