Quick Weather West update today for sake of discussing fairly strong atmospheric river that will arrive in NorCal Tue-Wed, bringing widespread rain, gusty winds, and maybe isolated t-storms. Warm still, though, so Sierra rain vs snow, & dry in SoCal. #CAwx
After anomalous late Oct warmth, a sooner-than-expected shift back toward wetter conditions in (at least) NorCal - Weather West

Caveat to the rain totals map... is to highlight the likely rain shadowing as well esp. Santa Clara valley and inland near the Tri-Valley, via the SJSU PGE WRF model estimate here and note SJC, although the North Bay and coastal mtns should do well, beneficial early season rain. #CAwx

Overall timing for peak wind/rain is early Wednesday morning. A high wind warning has been added to the North Bay shoreline in addition to the regional wind advisory. Could see some wind-driven coastal flooding as well (high tides late AM) #CAwx 11/4/2025

The cold front is expected to move through fairly quickly… otherwise the rain totals shown here would be quite a bit higher. But also keep in mind much of what you see might fall just within an hour or two, which makes some roadway impact likely. #CAwx 11/4/2025
