The reason caning gets a bad rep is because people get beat until bloody in backwards countries for violating morality laws but lets be real 10 lashes for, say, graffiti is kinda a win for everybody — including the criminal!

Can we be real & acknowledge that public caning is a kinda goated form of punishment
- painful and embarrassing in the moment but practically 0 long term damage (besides a scar in extreme cases)
- extremely cheap compared to incarceration
