The second half of the '90s saw the arrival of a renewed Ford Fiesta, though still clearly based on its 1989 predecessor (which remained in production as the Fiesta Classic). New nose and tail, engines and interior were among the changes for what was then the UK's best-seller. #carbluesky

Nissan's complex late-'80s Sunny line-up in Europe was actually a mishmash of two ranges. The hatchbacks and saloons derived from the Japanese-market Pulsar range, while the estate and coupé were 'proper' Sunnys (also known as Sentras in export markets such as the USA). #carbluesky

I race my Midget in our small-bore vintage class. A few years ago, we allowed 1.6 NA MX-5 Miatas to race with us. There was some mixed feelings, but the Mazdas have generally behaved well and have fit in with our vintage racing ethos. Here's some MX-5s I race with
