There's more to diecast collecting than putting them on the shelf or racing them down a track. Some people put their diecast cars to the ultimate test in tabletop battles across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Steve Jackson games created just such an environment with their game Car Wars, which allows players to use existing cars made by Steve Jackson's team, or make their own from the 1/64 scale diecasts in their collection. Recently, we chatted with some of the team at Car Wars about making the game and why it's something diecast collectors and customizers should look into.
