This is why I distrust the “screen free parents” groups. Not because I don’t think social media and phones can be issues. I do. But because they are weirdly well funded and refuse to discuss social issues, digital rights and how schools catalyse harm. Brianna was killed by another child not a phone
Esther Ghey: "It was just that constant pressure of social media and wanting to get those likes. One of the hardest things was learning about what Brianna was accessing online that was encouraging her to self-harm and develop an eating disorder.”

“ @BrentToderian.bsky.social urged the government to stop waiting for market forces and instead take deliberate steps to catalyse change. ‘Don’t hope and pray. Be intentional. Fill the gaps. Activate the dead spaces. Make things happen!’”
Read this, with your own city in mind.

I would say of the angry users, some of them are too far gone to be saved, but I see in the rest, the nucleus of the set of people who catalyse others to move networks. After all, we all moved at least once to come here from wherever we were before. I would be shocked to find a first time user here.
