Best capture of the day on the #CherryFire in #Vacaville. It burned 15 acres at a moderate rate of spread after beginning as a vehicle fire on Westbound 80 at Cherry Glen, then burning along Alamo Creek to the Hillview neighborhood.

#CherryFire: CAL FIRE is at scene of a vegetation fire at I-80 and Cherry Glen Road with Vacaville Fire and the Vacaville Fire District. The fire is approximately 15 acres. Forward progress has been stopped.

Moderate wildfire risk issued for Saturday & Monday in areas of our Unit across the western Sacramento Valley. This is due to low relative humidity & gusty wind signatures aligning with unusually dry dead fuels, curing shrubs & herbaceous fuels.

The #CherryFire that started Monday in Vacaville is now 100% contained. It burned 52 acres.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported and there has been no reports or findings of damage to any structures.
