What's remarkable about @StuGoldsmith in his excellent @ComComPod series is that he gets to the 'wiring behind the walls' of those he interviews - as in this episode: THE most revealing chat with Doc Brown I've ever heard. Stu's the Parkinson for comics.

Seeing @FernBrady deliver a rock-solid five on @ComedyCentralUK recently, I'm thinking @DeborahFW should invite her onto the @GuiltFemPod. Also reckon there's a @ComComPod episode in the offing (if @StuGoldsmith's listening).

I recommend Spencer Jones’s ComComPod, where he describes his act as basically asking the audience for permission to be funny. If they don’t laugh he stops and moves on. Which is a good lesson to learn.

It was fascinating to hear the late Janey Godley talking on ComComPod (I think, might have been RHLSTP) recently reissued about orchestrated pile-ons

Listening to @StuGoldsmith interviewing @rachelparris for his @ComComPod. It'll probably disappoint her to hear another person remark on this, but she comes across as genuinely likeable. Likeable, and brilliantly funny.

Gathering some good podcast episodes for next week's commutes. Got stuff lined up from @SarahMillican75's @StandardIssueUK, @russell_kane's 'Evil Genius', @StuGoldsmith's @ComComPod, and even something from @ByLeavesWeLive on Don Paterson. Bring on the driving!

he's absolutely obsessed with uncovering and exploiting the tiniest of effects for comic purposes, and i have so much respect for it

i was listening to him on comcompod and thought i must buy the book, and even if 90% of it is not aimed at me, the remaining 10% is still great general writing advice

Delve into the world of Marjolein Robertson on this week's ComComPod!

We discuss being influenced by Shetland folklore, how she accidentally started with hour-long comedy shows, death, the pressure to turn trauma into material, choosing between art or algorithms and lots more.
