A view across Penzance, with the sea in front and behind, in the town, a church “with ears” (the four little turrets sticking up from the tower, which is a typically Cornish style, and used to be something we looked out for on journeys to Cornwall as meaning we were getting close to the destination). It is all in faded colours.

Today was #PenzancePride and annoyingly I couldn’t go, as I managed to get food poisoning last night, but spouse kindly took a photo for me to share of St Piran’s flag looking rather spiffy :) #CornwallPhotos #Pride #photography

The flag of St Piran (Cornwall’s flag) but with a rainbow cross instead of a white one, being flown in front of some old, possibly Regency, buildings. Behind the photographer is the promenade and then the sea, by the way.

If you’ve ever read, “The clouds were scudding across the sky,” and wondered what they were doing - these clouds are most definitely scudding.

Most of this photo is sky, which is a problem because I’m not very good at describing sky. It is the colour you would paint children’s walls if you were painting it “sky blue” and it has the sort of fluffy clouds on it that would be on that self same wall, too. They look as if they are almost in army formation as they float above the sea, heading towards the far shoreline.
The whole of the foreground is a deeper view sea, but it is the blue of “sea” and not the very dark blue of “ocean”, with not a white wave in sight.
Before the distant land, there is a tiny island, also very distant (it is only just before the land) with a small castle at the top of a hill. This is St Michael’s Mount.

An attempt at an arty picture (not *just* because it’s in monochrome!) with the image of a young man standing alone skimming stones on #Marazion beach.

A beach, pictured in monochrome. The sand gives way to a line of seaweed, then to pebbles, and more seaweed, in lines to some degree. The sea laps at the shore and is choppy but not particularly wavy; the place where sea and sky meet is visible just at the top of the picture (yes, I know there’s a word for that, but my brain fog steals words, and it has taken that one). On the shoreline, a young man in a jumper, cap, shorts, and trainers is skimming stones.

A Cornish tin mine sits on a far off hill. I love living where I do, even if I can only get out of the house rarely (it’s why I take photos when I do, even if I’m not very good at it - though to be fair my iPad isn’t the best for taking them!) #photography #Cornwall #CornwallPhotos

A tin mine stands tall on the horizon of a photograph of Cornish moorland in the foreground, and fields further back, laid out by stone walls. The colour of the close grass is golden brown, with dark green probably gorse bushes; verdant green fields are in the distance, and the mine itself is grey stone. The sky is pale blue with streaks of white.

I took this #photo as a sort of ‘hit and hope’ - the sun was so bright, I couldn’t see what I was taking, but I’m pleased with the way it came out, with the opening of the harbour framing the sunlit water *and* St Michael’s Mount. #Cornwall

The sunlight glitters on the sea in a strip down the middle which seems to lead straight through the opening out of the harbour to St Michael’s Mount in the distance. The sky above is grey-blue and full of clouds, and some are dark-grey where most are white. Nonetheless, they are lit by sunlight and seem to shine in the sky.

Went to Newlyn today and on a little drive afterwards, happened to see a lifeboat. I’ve never had an opportunity to take a picture of one before, so I had a go, though it tried to escape me! #Cornwall #CornwallPhotos #TinyJoys

Time for a #photo of a nice coastal path in #Cornwall (and a plea for people to put alt text on their photos, even if they’re as bad at it as I was today).

Cliff path, twisting off into the distance. On the bottom right of the screen is the green ferns of the moorland behind the path. Running from the bottom left across the middle is the mass of flower and grasses which separate the path from the sea, with a little hump made partly of broken grey brickwork half surrounded by it. The sea is behind this, a dark blue contrasting with the light blue of the sky where the two meet. At the top of the image, the sky has turned entirely to white fluffy clouds. You can see a grey cliff in the distance leading down towards the sea.

A sandy/stony track runs from left to right (or right to left) across the front of the picture, with grass in the bottom left hand corner, and grassy hillocks across the middle before the photo falls away into a few white waves lapping on a sandy shore. There is blue sea stretching away, and in the distance there is land - towns, and sandy beaches, and moorland above. The sky is blue with white wisps of cloud.
