Psychiatrist here. The assertion "& Genuinely we all went insane in 2020" is a clinical lie as well as a cruel, ableist slur. Over 20% of Americans will meet diagnostic criteria for anxiety &/or mood d/o in their lives: my heart goes out to Pitt students/staff needing care who meet your stigma.
I've spent endless hours w/2020-21 Fb data & Genuinely we all went insane in 2020. The degree to which conflicts over COVID policy/COVID facts contributed to the fracturing of consensus reality cannot be overstated. &/but: it’s not simply a story of digital chaos agents pushing fake news re pandemic
