And Superman always holds back. Omni-Man doesn't. DCAU Superman stopped holding back and had Darkseid yelling "THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN EXHIBITION!"
Superman is a galaxy breaker. Especially Silver age Superman before his death. Omni Man is a vicious pre workout abuser

Kids WB also never dropped their “kids only want kids” mindset.
When the DCAU crew pitched Justice League their pitch animation had Robin, Impulse, and a female Cyborg in the place of The Flash.
When Kids WB rejected even THAT they went to Cartoon Network to get an all adult league they wanted

I do think Invincible is the best one presented here as it actually matches the later style of Cory Walker who was Invincible's first artists & designed a majority of the characters.
The dcau is kinda weird as much of it was based on the new 52 and specifically Jim Lee's style

DCAU wonder woman will always be my favorite version of the character. Susan Eisenberg did such an amazing job voicing her so much that I consider her the definitive voice of the character.

Is she being defined by her victim hood bc even in btas and the dcau overall Harley had more going on than that. Like she had episodes striking out on her own dealing with interesting themes about her wanting to get her life together or just going thru an adventure that balanced comedy and pathos.
🟠we used to really fight against this modern ish era of Harley saying it wasn't in the spirit of mad love and her origin till we realized it was kinda sucky to insist a character conceived as the victim of an abusive relationship be defined by that relationship forever

The best Superman portrayals are the ones where Superman does indeed seem centered and fully confident in his way of doing things. This also makes the moments where his confidence is shaken more impactful. The DCAU version of him strikes a good balance in that regard.
