A team built an AI system that spots Parkinson’s disease with 93.7% accuracy using data hospitals already collect.

It combines MRI features, DaTscan specific binding ratios, spinal fluid proteins, an...

My blood work along with a brain Mri that support the results of this DATscan are non judgmental. This isn’t an opinion of a doctor, the uptake in my brain is not going to change. Taking these tests along with physical and other cognitive evals will result in a narrowing down the diagnosis.

After a year of testing and various diagnoses they finally did a DATScan and confirmed that it was Parkinson's. I was 35 at the time. Most of my symptoms at the time were treatable with medication.

Est-ce que quelqu'un, une fois, dans le monde, a utilisé cette légendaire correction d'atténuation selon la méthode de Chang en traitant un DaTSCAN ?

retrospectively analyzed. Clinical progression, response to GPi-DBS, and the presence of FOG were documented. Dopaminergic function was assessed using DaTscan (SPECT for ^123I-ioflupane) in four patients. Results: FOG [4/9 of https://arxiv.org/abs/2502.13888v1]

I get an MRI of my brain tomorrow and DaTSCAN next week, i will check this link thanks

I had a cognitive test and an EEG so far. I have a brain MRI scheduled and a DaTSCAN and bloodwork scheduled. I attributed a lot of issues to spinal problems but I guess I was wrong 😬 its another road traveled.

I’m in Denver — a moderate sized city — and even with an abnormal DaTScan and worsening prognosis, I just made an appointment to see a movement disorder specialist at their earliest, which is NEXT FEBRUARY

Bro the US might not even be here in February wtf

I too was diagnosed with hysteria (now under its new name “functional neurologic disorder”) for 7 years, before I literally staged a sit in at a doctor’s office for a a DaTscan, which did produce an abnormal result indicating Parkinsonism. Now my docs think I have Multiple System Atrophy.

De datscan is achter de rug. Viel reuze mee vergeleken met een mriscan of tandarts. Geen herrie maar alleen een rustgevend gezoem. Ik ben benieuwd naar de foto’s van mijn brein. Over een week al uitslag.

"The use of DaTscan imaging resulted in a change in management in 54% (95% CI: 47–61%) of patients. Change in diagnosis occurred in 31% (95% CI: 22–42%) of patients. The two pooled analyses were characterised by high levels of heterogeneity." @PdAvengers...

I will add that for the first 7 years of my Parkinson’s diagnosis, that I was diagnosed with literal hysteria (“functional neurologic disorder”), before I staged a sit in for the DaTScan which did prove the presence of parkinsonism, and which led to my PD diagnosis by another neuro 6 months later
