#DeepSID

I think the hard part for you will be detecting what inti/player routine does. To get the conversion tool done sooner, maybe leave it to the user to look up the info on DeepSID then they could maybe select from a list of pre-packaged values that equal 25Hz or 2x (on PAL this should end up 100Hz).

@rebelandroid.com Looking at your SID stuff on DeepSID. Is it my imagination or does Soundplayer1.0 seem to result in much larger C64 files that other editors?
Is Drumtex a tracker/editor?
What is "Unidentified player"?
And what's Music Assembler like? (Youtube had nothing)

No fb here. The list should be "ported" to DeepSID :)

I'd say the 0Day playlist on DeepSID is a good curation of worthy subjects for your ministrations. A SID is a terrible thing to waste. :-)

What I've heard is better than most of what's on DeepSID/HVSC. Much SID music is by people with no idea what music is. I say this having ZERO music skills 😆. Walking In The Air brings back memories I never knew were I had.

Add WalkingInAir to the list needing to be made agnostic of Region/PAL/NTSC.

Custom-- Did you write it? Compactness is always appreciated. DeepSID has, IIRC 11 versions of the song. Can your custom tracker or assembly stuff be enhanced to take your existing data and make a CIA driven SID? Maybe move the ZP usage to the periphery, $FC-FE? Or maybe 02,03 is safer? Dunno.

use by non-C64 players. It might include more info, the sort you see in DeepSID. So probably larger.

Obviously the goal is a util that can get alter a songfile to use CIA instead of VIC interrupt so it plays correctly agnostic of video rate. It would have to determine the intended playback speed.

making LOAD "x",8,1 and the SYS target a lot harder to get running on a C64.

DeepSID now has the ability to note if a file is PSID or RSID. In the filelist, the lower right corner has like ten optional criteria you can click through sequentially. CIA detection is said to be on the to-do list.

We did Sprite memes in the summer. Now we will be posting some #Soundchip memes. Specifically, #SID. I didn't make this but much respect to the creator of this one.

What doe the pronoun "it" refer to? A limit on SidPlayer .MUS or rather a behavior of DeepSID? So if a .MUS plays for more than 5 minutes it never gets to finish?

#deepsid Added search commands. Type '+' plus a shortcut (e.g., +hub, +jammer) to jump directly to a composer folder. Commands match against composer folders in the database.

#deepsid DeepSID now caches CSDb data, such as images, release and SID pages, to improve loading times and reduce the pressure on the CSDb server.

#deepsid You can now navigate the SID folders using keyboard controls; specifically, the arrow keys (up/down), Home, End, Page Up, Page Down, and Enter to select a SID row. Press Backspace to go back one folder. Click this link for more information.

I just noticed SoundMonitor 1.0 is listed as:
Default CIA (1/60 seconds or 1.2x)

I don't know what 1.2's units are, but CIA is obviously desirable to keep music playing properly regardless of whether NTSC or PAL. Is there a way to find CIA driven songs on DeepSID?

#deepsid HVSC has now been updated to version #83 at DeepSID. As always, CSDb pages will be missing until they have updated too. Click this link to see what's new in it.
