I’ve been a #DementiaCarer for around a year. I’d heard tales of what it’s like when a person with #Dementia gets a #UTI. I know now what it’s like, with things building over several weeks, various interventions, and crescendo reached yesterday, leading to their hospital admission. #Alzheimers

A #rose doing its thing. And it’s one I trimmed down, carefully cut out crossing branches, dealt with black spot, have fed. I’m pleased with how this has responded to my care. Must have learnt something about looking after #Roses at my #GardenCentre job before I had to leave to be a #dementiacarer!

This last week has been a tough(er) one caring for my MIL who has #Alzheimer’s + #VascularDementia . Now convinced she’s 6 or 7 years old much of the time. That’s a challenge for her and any caregiver. #DementiaCarer
