The protesters are back on the march from 26 Federal Plaza. They are now gathering at Tweed Courthouse. I wonder whether this is headed for the Brooklyn Bridge, which has provoked crackdowns at other demonstrations

The tragedy is trump's personality defects were obvious before he ran for president the first time. Millions of Americans didn't care and still don't. Demonstrations by good people are fine, but the greatest challenge is whether real leaders will emerge to save the republic from the hate mongers.

Large demonstrations of solidarity are an accomplishment in and of themselves. Don't undervalue collective effervescence. There's a reason why authoritarians want to attack our freedom to assemble. Please stop being shitty about the only good thing that's happened recently.

And peaceful by comparison.
There aren't any active demonstrations in the downtown area. Just around the ICE facility in South Portland.

Is it too banal to say it's both? We have the power to use words to make new phrases, but we mostly don't use it. There are well-known demonstrations of invention ("colorless green ideas"), and also underminings of set phrases ("I lust after Bob because he always gets it over with so fast")
i feel like most language is composed out of set phrases rather than words

I took that as meaning during the BLM demonstrations during his first term -- and he's certainly acknowledged talking to Trump while both were in office.

Very interesting conversation happening here. If any of you are saying, “Great, but what’s next?” after the No Kings demonstrations, you’ll want to check this out. www.youtube.com/live/OKjfRIL...

VicPD board finance chair Elizabeth Cull blames the budget request on a few things, including “the opioid crisis,” “mental health crises,” and “substance use.” Sounds like money could be better spent on things like safe supply and mental health resources, then, not police. Councillors have a choice.

that man has done and said so many heinous, outrageous, criminal things in plain sight on a daily basis for 10 years now but that demolition is the last straw for me and it’s breaking my brain! you’d think there’d be protest and mass demonstrations expressing outrage, but nothing! makes me ill 🤢

The only problem is that the Insurrection Act is for insurrections. There are currently NO insurrections. Even the No Kings protests were entirely non-violent, except for some MAGA types who tried to disrupt the demonstrations.

Referring to activities as demonstrations and/or protests is sickening, it were riots, extreme-right-wing riots, anti-immigrant attempts of lynchings, nothing less!

Justice must be done but NOT by a bunch of scumbags lynching a person or persons!

There is no evidence an asylum-seeker attacked!

WHY I ATTEND DEMONSTRATIONS

To empower those who for their own safety do not exercise their right to redress. Last Saturday, I saw a rarity when a few of those souls stepped into the light to oppose the usurpation of their Democracy and our Republic. #ÊtreCitoyen #NoKings

*Not post mortem*

This instructions prove my work (actually already by the reasoning shown in it). But it is also possible to show it post mortem by its instruction undeniably with experimental demonstrations.

It cannot be done without my design by implementing my logic there. No math bogus.

He says that given the fact that he grew a beard that made him look ikhwani (i.e., like a member of the very Muslim Brotherhood that people were denouncing), he decided he wasn't the best person to volunteer to intervene in attempted sexual assaults that were happening at these demonstrations.
