something funny about AI is that it is a fancy marketing term for a mathematical/statistical technique that can actually be *very* useful, but given that it's a marketing term it gives an absolutely wrong idea of what AI actually is

I mean, detexify was one of the most useful tools I had

Had to go searching the dark web.

Well, actually, I used detexify to find the LaTeX command name and then surmised that that might also be the unicode name (since it often is) so searched for that name with unicode. That took me to a site where I could cut and paste them.

I'm familiar with detexify but haven't used mathpix. It may not be genAI but do you know how it runs? Like it's probably some sort of CNN computer vision thing, right?

(I've seen you already got the answer) My 1st reflex was to use detexify to see what would be the LaTeX symbol matching the drawing, and there was no krul, but then I found chats about the similarity bw that symbol and krul en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dele / graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/58...

Since googling "curvy L" didn't help, here's how #Detexify worked for me. Pretty cool!

Have you ever wondered what's the #LaTeX command for that very specific mathematical character which name you don't know? Well, using #Detexify (by Philipp Küh and @kirel) you can actually _draw_ it and get it 🤯http://detexify.kirelabs.org/classify.html

Detexify will show you the possible LaTeX symbols for what you've drawn freehand. Old school typesetting meets machine learning. Cool / strange. https://t.co/yaCTnF18lf

A math symbol I'd never seen before. Detexify (http://detexify.kirelabs.org/) tells me it is \gtrless in LaTeX (amssymb).
