Between this and all the "dexit" shit back during Sword and Shield, disgruntled Pokémon fans seem to have a knack for performative activism. When something actually starts hurting a marginalized group or is unethical but they like it, then the room is suddenly quiet.

Boy has the tune of the business lobby changed since last February! Back then, massive changes to DE law were *URGENTLY* necessary, despite no evidence of revenue drops from "DExit".
But now? Taking action to remedy real holes in the F26 or F27 budgets would be "precipitous and hasty action."

Os acordáis cuando la gente que ya estaba enfadada con el espada/escudo por el dexit y tal se volvió completamente loca como si game freak hubiera secuestrado a toda su familia por hacer lo del directo 24 horas del bosque?

It's kind of why I scoff whenever people get upset over Dexit in Pokemon. Yes, every one is bound to be someone's favorite, but y'all are lying to yourselves if you're thinking that people are going to miss Simisear when they need 100% dex completion for the stupid Shiny Charm.

Not only did state revenue and corporate registration data not support the claims that Mr. DiSabatino and his allies made about the necessity of the Billionaire’s Bill, but rushing through those changes has not in any way stopped the flood of “DExit” rhetoric from the parties spouting it.

funniest thing is the gen 8 dexit frankly isn't as bad as the gen 3 "soft-dexit" from a consumer standpoint, but the angry manchildren barely think about it or learn to adjust their expectations because nostalgia, of course https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9Y_ACiMmek

god ever since dexit (a legitimately baffling choice driven entirely by nintendos desire to sell more games) the antifandoms been thrown into overdrive.

Like I could agree with, say people complaining that SwSh was a pretty bad gen, yeah I think so too, but. No, it's not because the tree models weren't impressive enough. Or because the attack animations weren't complete and unique for each mon. Or even because of Dexit. Come on now.

There are plenty of things I think pokemon fans should stop bitching endlessly about (dexit, for instance) but they can continue to give GF shit for the bench thing. Very good chance GF was entirely unaware of the purpose of that design, but that's still not good.

Lembro que teve todo aquele problema em Sword & Shield por causa do Dexit porque disseram que precisavam cortar pro jogo ficar melhor, mas não ficou tão bom embora eu também tenha gostado.

CS and Hacker’s Memory are genuinely good games but yes! HM even straight up reuses the same maps in some spots.
I’ve always thought of Dexit too. Digimon was removing creatures from each game for years.
It’s just wild lmao and I love Digimon but the cherry-picking to me is wild

I haven't really played that much of gen 6 only X and Y but I have heard many of those games are considered the last good Pokémon games, before stuff like dexit, Reuse of assets, Pokemon coming out in a broken state, etc

2) The messaging needs to be tight and, more importantly, something the general person cares about. This is a major problem with gaming boycotts, because the average issue a gamer cares about (say, Dexit in Pokemon) isn't something the average person cares about.

The fact it took them until Gen 8 to properly cut on Pokemon and moves so the games like, have a workable scope to them is insane.
Even the Gen 3 dexit wasn't really that since it's all in the game still. Pokemon might have the worst case of feature creep in all of gaming.

Playing Pokémon Violet's Indigo Disk and I am genuinely considering breeding and EV training a competitive team to try and beat the Elite Four. Cause they are brutal, and thanks to Dexit, all my EV-trained Pokémon are enjoying an extended trip to Alola.
I guess I did want it to be harder!

Other than that, yeah. Dexit not withstanding, S/S weren't bad. By no means my favourite but it certainly felt more cohesive than S/V. Both excelled at different things, but both were equally held back by flaws that could have been fixed with more dev time, such is Switch Era Pokémon's curse.

Ist nur ne Frage der Zeit, bis Merz mit Dexit kommt, weil das EU-Parlament nicht nach seinem Gusto pariert.

It's always the capital G gamers. Every time. Be it a youtuber or a Mega Man Fan on Prom Night...
They did this shit in 2014. It was called GamerGate. Haven't forgotten how I was gatekept to hell and back and forced back into the closet by these bozos with Dexit, which was an extension of GG.

I had to read someone seriously using Dexit today and I think I should get to dunk your head in a toilet if that’s the only way you can talk about media

my dangerous opinion is that dexit was the best thing to happen to this series though, having smaller dexes is just the best way to go with that many pokemon
