Residents of Dolgellau give thanks to the Gods as the clocks on their microwaves, car radios, ovens and VHS players all tell the correct time for the first time in 6 months.

If you're in Dolgellau and look up towards Cadair Idris you can hardly miss it as it glows on the hillside above the town.
After the rains came, the views were somewhat diminished, and spirits dampened.

Bryn Mawr was originally Humphreysville until the railroad came, but the name came from the house of Rowland Ellis who (like me!) migrated from Dolgellau, so it has proper roots in the Welsh Quaker migration. Several other Bryn Mawrs in 🇺🇸 are named after Bryn Mawr, PA.

It's the equinox today (in about an hour, in fact), and autumn has shown it means business with a light frost this morning in Dolgellau.

During the Sesiwn Fawr festival in Dolgellau last weekend, Sian Rhiannon Williams gave a talk on Mary Ellis, who was born in the town, and the Peace Petition, and a Blue Plaque was mounted on the house where Mary was born.

The fastest I've ever been until recently was 45km/h down a local 20% on a hybrid years ago, I had speed wobble then as well 😬💩. Beat that 3 weeks ago going down off the Oerddrws pass into Dolgellau doing 57km/h 🚴♂️💨💨💨💨

Lata temu jadąc przez Walię zatrzymaliśmy się na śniadanie w Dolgellau. Zupełnie przypadkiem trafiliśmy na moment, kiedy w ostępach kilku/nastu minut wlatywały znad Morza Irlandzkiego nad naszymi głowami. To była świetna okazja na odkrycie czegoś takiego jak Mach Loop 🙂
