Looking at your work for #DrawingAugust again, your use of colour is complex and subtle yet with some fabulous contrasts, complements and juxtapositions. Such balanced composition too - working A5 and A6 must be challenging 👍😎

It was day 31 #DrawingAugust & #DrawingAugust2025. I got a few quick figure sketches in. Not from life and all open for improvement, but v happy with them overall.

It was day 31 #DrawingAugust & #DrawingAugust2025. I got a few quick figure sketches in. Not from life and all open for improvement, but v happy with them overall.

This morning I was all,'Phew, August's over. Thank goodness I don't have to do a drawing today.' And then... out popped another one. Guess it's a habit now. Trying to do a smiling self portrait. So difficult. Charcoal this time. #DrawingAugust

My last drawing of #DrawingAugust is of a poor tree split by Storm Arwen in Nov 2021. The fallen trees are a daily reminder of the power of the storm. Hopefully not to be repeated any time soon.
