As soon as I saw this Dashwood Studio needlecord fabric, I had to buy some. The colours and flowers remind me of a 70's print. However at full price I could only justify getting one metre so had to be inventive with the design. #sewist #dressmaking #slowfashion #sewsky #sewing #garmentmaking

Isä was a veteran of the talvisota ja jatkoa. Äiti went to dressmaking school in Stockholm during most of the war. He was recruited by Canadair because there was a shortage of airplane mechanics after the war.

#wipwednesday usually I post knitting but I sew as well 🧵 - I’ve just finished cutting out a ‘Vintage Vogue’ pattern for myself. Design from 1951 & the fabric could be as old! I bought it in the 80s - burns like a rayon & it has fade marks to pink! #dressmaking #sewing #vintagestyle
