I think I might have fucked up by tapering prednisolone and duloxetine and starting trauma therapy for the thing I don’t talk about at the same time bc now I’m so tired I can’t do anything, there are like 4 people I’m ok with speaking to and I can’t handle sunlight. Should be temporary at least

i started duloxetine for fibro and also slept.... 14 hours last night and felt weird

something about switching from effexor to duloxetine; being pain free throughout yesterday evening and sleeping for 13 hours has made me wildly dissociative and manic; and trying to center and ground myself is not working when it usually does

thank you :)

i'm switching from effexor to duloxetine and it seems to be making me feel funky and sad

pcp prescribed duloxetine for fibromyalgia, to switch off effexor. the migraines effexor caused are gone, but i feel very sleepy.

So it’s been a week on duloxetine.
First couple if days were very shitty. Now, I’m pain free, but still very sleepy. The only benefit so far is that I sleep really well and without nightmares. It’s wild to think that I got so used to seeing nightmares it feel weird not to have them.

Thanks for all the help, everyone. I just... need 50 dollars so I can afford my health insurance, and so be able to buy my antidepressant. Duloxetine is the name.

Luckily I still have some, but I can't have an appointment if I don't pay my insurance. Kofi link is on the other post.
I don't even have enough to buy food. Or to buy the medication I take for hypothyroidism. Why is that an issue? Well, not taking it makes me have painful migraines. Food is obvious enough. Ko-fi is there. Help me. (2/2)

I hear you on that, it can be such a struggle balancing meds to work with fibro. Anecdotally from folks I’ve chatted to, SNRIs like duloxetine tend to work better for fibro than SSRIs like Sertraline, but of course it varies between people. They often play better with other meds too, I find.

Seem to have worked out how to achieve homeostasis newly on Wellbutrin, tapering duloxetine and pred. Mornings I have less caffeine, do a cold water plunge, take my bp & take 1/4 an atenolol if it isn’t low. Box breath during the day. Progressive muscle relaxation meditation at bed time.

I was put on sertraline for depression. I was later diagnosed with fibromyalgia and I came off sertraline to switch to duloxetine for it. I was unable to leave the house without my wheelchair during that switch over, it was excruciating. I can fully see how sertraline could relate to muscle pain.

A New Look at Old Drugs: The Evolving Debate on Neuropathic Pain Management
A New Look at Old Drugs: The Evolving Debate on Neuropathic Pain Management A recent perspective article in *Pain Medicine* critically examines the comparative effectiveness of pregabalin and duloxetine, two cornerstone medications for painful diabetic neuropathy. The analysis highlights the current evidence landscape, noting the limitations of head-to-head trials and the variable individual patient responses to each therapy. The central argument pivots from a simple drug-versus-drug comparison to a forward-looking call for research into rational combination therapies.

The Cost Conundrum: Weighing Value in Fibromyalgia Pharmacotherapy
The Cost Conundrum: Weighing Value in Fibromyalgia Pharmacotherapy A new decision-analytical model published in JAMA Network Open evaluates the cost-effectiveness of three common medications—pregabalin, duloxetine, and milnacipran—against the older, generic drug amitriptyline for treating moderate to severe fibromyalgia. The study provides a rigorous economic framework to assess not just clinical efficacy but also the long-term financial impact on healthcare systems, offering a data-driven perspective on value-based prescribing for this complex chronic pain condition.

My SNRI is likely the cause of my ridiculously exhausting vivid dreams. I forgot to ask my GP about this yesterday because I am currently a bit useless at appointments. I like Duloxetine but can’t imagine coping with these dreams long term. Urgh. Silly side effects.
