The amendment will limit Environmental Delivery Plans (EDPs) to tried-and-tested approaches which have been shown to work, and stop them being used to harm protected sites and species. Thank you to Baroness Willis of Summertown who tabled amendment 130 and to the Lords who supported it 👏👏
Email your MP. Amendment 130 would make sure the new planning systems works for, not against nature.demand they keep amendment 130 in the Bill
It's now or never. This is the last chance to protect nature in the Planning and Infrastructure Bill. Email your MP to keep amendment 130 in the Bill.

This is the most important amendment to the planning bill! The Gov have agreed to work with Kate Parminter to bring forward her amendment to apply the Mitigation Hierarchy to EDPs. A huge win for the environment & a greener future. Her expert knowledge & diplomacy delivering real nature protection 💚

EDPs = Environmental Delivery Plans
It will go back to the House of Commons now, if they don't agree to the amendment (😩) there'll be back & forth until they can agree, but very good news for now at least and at last some sense!🤞

THANK GOODNESS! 😅 House of Lords debated Pt 3 of Planning & Infrastructure Bill today - voted in favour of amendment limiting EDPs to impacts like nutrient neutrality, air pollution etc i.e. NOT for protected species & habitats (which would have been disastrous & massive weakening of protections)… 🙌

EDPS documents on CSAM proposal (‘Chat Control’) – compatibility with CFR and GDPR
EDPS documents on CSAM proposal (‘Chat Control’) – compatibility with CFR and GDPR - a Freedom of Information request to European Data Protection Supervisor
– Any opinions, correspondence, internal notes, preparatory documents, or meeting records held by the EDPS concerning the compatibility of the proposed Regulation laying down rules to prevent and combat child sexual abuse (the ‘Chat Control’/CSAM proposal) with the Charter of Fundamental Rights and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Specifically, I seek documents addressing: – The impact of the proposal on Articles 7 and 8 CFR (private life and data protection), – Its consistency with GDPR principles (necessity, proportionality, purpose limitation, data minimisation), – Safeguards under Article 47 CFR (effective remedies and judicial protection). Timeframe: 2020 to present. If Article 4(2) or 4(3) exceptions are invoked, I submit there is an overriding public interest in disclosure: namely, enabling democratic scrutiny of surveillance measures with significant impact on EU fundamental rights. Where needed, I request partial access under Article 4(6). Please acknowledge receipt and process this request within 15 working days in line with Article 7 of Regulation 1049/2001. I prefer electronic access. Yours faithfully, Andrej Magyar

Curtis, sending the police to address EDPs, is not the answer. Locking them the in institutions is not the answer.

Similarly it doesnt just allow you to bulldoze over wild places: it says that depending on which EDPs cover a place you may pay Natural England for restoration.

For protected sites Natural England (which I assume is what you meant by wild places) Natural England would need to agree
