An announcement, which might be of some interest:

In the period 2022-2024, myself and a number of other postdocs on the "CoSInES" and "Bayes4Health" EPSRC grants were involved in organising a number of internal tutorial workshops, on topics relevant to researchers in computational statistics.

The PSDI pilot phase, funded by the EPSRC Digital Research Infrastructure programme, ran from Nov 2021 to March 2022.

It built on the SoN submission, aiming to engage with the user community, gather requirements, and develop plans for future phases.

I'm a bit worried about the sustainability of the EPSRC line "building the industries of 20 years in the future". It has a limited shelf life and the lack of evidence is getting concerning.

extremely original take but it is wild how UKRI just doesn’t fund PhDs outside the EPSRC remit*

* theoretical research within EPSRC remit is also underfunded, see pure maths
