Its good tradecraft to practice elicitation and counter elicitation but even though some people have a natural instinct for it it also flags the liklihood of specialized training in someone's background.

I don't think anything is "truly" present methstie, sunyata and all that. There is dialogue. There is elicitation and response. I understand that others can disagree but thomism is my mortal enemy.

I'm confident that *no one* answering this thinks it's in any way "grand to carry on as we are". (It's not modelling, it's expert elicitation depicting a return to 1.5C).

Also we have no idea who started that conversation, Putin or Xi, and in both cases both are trained in the intelligence tactic of Elicitation where you try to extract information from someone with declarative statements you lie about hoping for correction to be volunteered up.
FYI this whole “xi dreaming he will be immortal” is based off a recorded out of context translation that was less than 60 seconds long (not his original words) where he supposedly said “people might live to be 150”

Exactly.
I love bringing up Elicitation because it's the intelligence gathering technique that has been the most effective against Americans in particular, we are the country of WELL ACHTUALLY (and I'm bad even within that context) and it just works so well lol

If we're to believe they'll get serious then, I'll have some questions about their thresholds & model evaluation frameworks to know if they're approaching said thresholds. If capability elicitation is hard for OpenAI, how much harder for some open source collective?

What position exactly is it interviewing humans for? What positions would remain, by design in the AI designed society, that need humans whose truth needs elicitation?

i’d love to hear what you have in mind. imo MCP is getting kind of bloated. that last elicitation feature is cool, but requires queues, for sure, so a lot of people suddenly got broken servers thrust on them

Evidentiality is the grammatical marking of your source of information (e.g. I know because I saw vs because someone told me). It's hard to pin down in natural conversation or artificial elicitation. In this paper I discuss a range of methods I used in my PhD work.
