i cannot stress enough how much this kind of entitled attitude puts creators off from sharing our work with y'all, and it is one of the two main reasons i don't share my work anywhere anymore (the other is synovitis makes hands too hurty when try to draw 😭). don't be a dave. we don't like dave.

I also wrote a 130,000 [word] book, Sorry Jones. That's 540,000 words. The length of the average book is 85,000 words. So, between holding down multiple jobs to earn a living, I still managed to write the equivalent of 6 novels. so i got reeeeally angry on @jv-jones.bsky.social's behalf last week on the bird app. y'all. you're not any creator's fan if you treat them like they owe you rent money for "taking too long" to publish something you've been waiting for, no matter how long you've been waiting

Seit 2011 warten Leser von George Martin auf die Fortsetzung seiner Song of Ice and Fire Saga. Noch länger, seit 15 Jahren, warten die Leser von Sword of Shadows von J. V. Jones auf den 5. Band der Reihe. Und im Gegensatz zu Martin hat Frau Jones jetzt tatsächlich etwas zu bieten.

Firing this out there into the Bluesky ether. Does anyone, anywhere know anything about the author J V Jones and the release of Endlords, book 5 of the sword of shadows series? Can’t find any recent info at all. Read the first 4 books years ago and loved them. Just wish she could finish it.
