'Engraving' is a horror game set in a constantly shifting supernatural forest.
The only way to wrap your head around where you need to go & how to account for the changing environment is to draw & update your own map notation.

Based on this DNA evidence, as well as oral history and other documentation, the Thomas Jefferson Foundation at Monticello concluded in 2000 that Jefferson was the father of at least Eston Hemings and most likely all of Hemings’s children. This overturned decades of denial by many historians. /7

Mucking about with GCODE generation tools. Many of which kinda suck. Mental math and maybe a Python program that spits out partly computed programs remains the most consistent approach 😞

Joan Hassall's wood engraving 'The Mill,' is an illustration from Francis Brett Young's 'Portrait of a village', from 1937. Hassall's work is ideal for this book; the original has little, informal images that serve as visual punctuations.

Ghost and Knight (Les Spectres au Théâtre). Engraving by unknown 19th century French artist.
The intricate linework and theatrical composition evoke the atmosphere of Romantic-era drama, where the boundaries between life, death, and illusion blur into haunting spectacle.
