when many things in life are just so shitty and demoralising and crass and strength-sapping, i remember that i have a team around me who are the opposite of all those things. i am SO BLESSED to be at failbetter, after 11 years (this month), and thankful for all that comes with it.

It's funny playing sunless sea now that so much lore has been added in fallen london. Stuff like the starved men and the roof, Parabola and the moonlit chessboard, the hinterlands. I know failbetter is cooking on Mandrake but God I would love a sunless sea sequel/remaster

I'm fascinated by the setting, but the gameplay and time gating really kept me from getting into Fallen London. Have you played Cultist Simulator or Book of Hours? They were made by Alexis Kennedy after he left Failbetter, and the writing has a very similar vibe.

2. I'd honestly recommend everything by Failbetter but Sunless Skies is especially good
