Managed to write 1,100 words in Book 5 on the drive up.
Now switching gears—poolside mode activated. Still waiting on our pool permit back home (Fresno heat is brutal!), so for now, soaking it up in the hotel pool and calling it balance.

Back in Redondo Beach this Halloween for a few days. Hitting our favorite restaurants, relaxing with the kids, and spending time by the ocean.
We definitely miss living here—but we’re grateful to have our own home now. No longer renters, just visitors soaking it all in. ❤️

Visiting Redondo Beach & got hit with such sadness. Miss this place so much.
For 10+ yrs we were steps from the ocean—just walked out the door & straight to the sand.

I’ll be honest—since moving from Redondo Beach after 10+ yrs, I’ve been a little homesick. My daughter misses her friends there too.

Novice mistake: bought a white area rug knowing it wouldn’t stay white with 2 kids + a new puppy.
She’s already peed on it twice. Even after steam cleaning, the stains linger. Now it just looks… off.
Lesson learned: never buy a white rug with kids or pets.

I’ve only had small dogs. We recently said goodbye to Abraham (17 & 8 mo) our Japanese Chin Yorkie mix & now Abigail, my 5 lb Japanese Chin, will turn 17 soon.
But now we have Chloe, a silver lab puppy with green eyes—sweet, beautiful & the missing piece to our family.

First-time homeowner here & had clue how technical building a pool could be. Permits, easements (we have 21!) & all kinds of red tape.

One of the best parts about moving from Los Angeles to Fresno is having family nearby. In LA, we didn’t have that. But here, we do.

Don’t let the cuteness fool you—our son Thaideon is gorgeous & wildly
mischievous.
He’s 4 & incredibly difficult. Listening’s hard for him & he needs constant structure. After a rough summer, we enrolled both kids in a camp.
It was pricey—but worth it for their growth. 💙

Just wrapped an 8-day work trip—& as much as I appreciated the adventure (& the hotel), nothing beats coming home.
