#AllEyesOnCrete − Hani’s case is a particularly brutal example of the violence and injustice of anti-smuggling laws that punish people for seeking safety. These laws are the real crime, and a continuation of Europe’s colonial legacy. 1/8

and 4 of them are already on trial in early May, starting as soon as May 5.

⚠️ In oder to give the lawyers at least some time to prepare, we need to hire them for these 4 boys asap. For this, we need €6,000.

💸 €1,500 per case × 4 = €6,000

Ariad is one of the about 50 Sudanese teenagers currently imprisoned on smuggling charges after arriving in Crete this and last year.

There were about 70 passengers on the boat he crossed with.

Everyone had to help a little — and so did Ariad. Anyone in his position would have done the same. 1/6

Who will give them back the years and days that European prison walls are taking away?

Each day is as another unjust day.
