Zhang Zhan was so weak she needed support entering the courtroom for her trial last week, where she was again sentenced to four years in prison. Her health has been severely affected by hunger strikes she undertakes to protest persecution. She does not belong in prison. #FreeZhangZhan

Still shocked and outraged by Zhang Zhan’s baseless 4-year sentence. She should be honoured as an “information hero,” not locked in brutal prison conditions. The world must keep pressing Beijing for her immediate release. #FreeZhangZhan
