I don't disagree with any of that. We have similar male privilege issues to this day, in our local GBV sector.
I've also experienced a decade of reaction to saying blatantly correct and accurate descriptions which were well articulated, specifically, by Black and Indigenous women who were ignored

These are great. I can't forgive myself for not thinking of virtually the entire MF DOOM catalog and of "Matter-Eater Lad" by GBV right away. The one thing I'd throw in is "This Is Canon Now" by Czarface, a frequent DOOM collaborator.

And sadly, you are correct that this band is definitely synonymous with the kind of guy you mention. I used to put at least one GBV song on every mixtape for a period. In my defense though, their short running time was well-suited for those purposes.
