Looks like a very good year for #pears despite everything.

I'm only now remembering - around when I broke my ankle I was supposed to thin the fruit, so the poor little thing has done beautifully!

The egg that the hen in the video this is posted with is singing about. It is very slightly mottled, but overall very pale. There aren't really any extra calcium spots making a texture, & there's next to no speckling.

Week 5 fighting this bloody flu begins. At least the worst is contained to throat & back. Trying to up my Vit D (last April's bloods I scored 4) & pootle at things that don't need concentration. Just to keep from going stark raving bonkers.

The sky has like 8-10 shades in it. I've only ever previously seen sky like this in the Med (and that was in a November), or in Austria & Germany in August. Centre back to front: Lily (for Lily Savage - Mum's hen), Lizzie (for her late Maj), & Tamsin (for Tamsin Greig) Back bed from the repaired fence end. Now featuring a daffodil at either end & the fruit trees are starting to leaf. Pear blossom starting to bud.

1st full day home

Lizzie & Diane led out this morning & 7/10 got the hang of the ladder, with just 1 needing more time to master it.

The rescue have a run today & this wk/nd with some other of the girls up for #RescueHens, this might be your time...

Long term followers of the #HeroesOfComedyFlock will remember: she's one of the flock refusers from the rescue who arrived effectively 'oven ready' on Halloween of '22 as a palliative care case.
It took her really a full year to 15mts so she didn't moult last year, but now, she's well away! 😁
