So Prusa released their Open Print Tag standard for NFC filament management, if you look at the specs, it's an ISO/IEC 15693 NFC tag with a specific NDEF message format. One interesting thing is a reserved for transmission_distance for HueForge prints, and material properties specs.openprinttag.org

Yeah, when I first started seeing the hueforge designs I thought it was some hole different type of printer, but then a friend said it was just software and I was like "well I'm good at software" so I got a copy and started playing!

They look like layers of different colors. You can kind of see the darkest parts are deeper than the lighter parts.

They look like layers of different colors. You can kind of see the darkest parts are deeper than the lighter parts.

The frame I did in fusion 360 (which I'm a baby at, not very good lol) and the mosaic is a hueforge! I often import that or an svg into bambu though and just assemble stuff in the slicer so I have color control!

That turned out good.
Made my first "hueforge" 3D print to test the multi color option of my printer. Turned out great though I think the layers are a bit too thick, some white area should show a bit more purple. It's a 18x18 cm plaque with colors layered on top of each others ( black -> purple -> white )

Working through more #Dynamod 3D printed multi color dungeon tiles, thanks to #HueForge I found a great process to start from 2D material & create 3D models from them. It's so cool that this can be printed with any 3D printer, no color system needed. #3dprinting #heroquest #dnd
