I think Denver is the secondary city of the Interior megaregion. Dallas primary imo, Calgary 1B status only because of the national border inflating its importance on one side. Denver the obvious next most important city with a similar mix of animal husbandry + raw materials. Anchors a big swathe.

The Interior here is a leftover bucket including the Great Basin, Great Plains, and the Rockies, a huge part of the continent defined not by civilization but by its absence - a dependence on animal husbandry, asocial forms of farming, and raw material extraction ultimately tied to Dallas oil money
I basically think US/Canada/northern Mexico works like this:
-Northeast orients around New York
-South: Atlanta
-Lakes: Chicago (to a lesser degree Toronto)
-California: San Francisco
-Baja California: Los Angeles
-PNW: Seattle, formerly Vancouver
-Caribbean: Miami
-The Interior: Dallas (Calgary)
the 11 Cultural Nations thing has always seemed a little silly to me in execution but the general concept that the USA is actually a bunch of different civilizations loosely held together with imperial duct tape seems plainly and observably true to me

Property is not Husbandry ?
Not exactly a teachable moment.
Given that H5N1 is eager to make the jump to humans and its mortality rate has been guessed at a wild swing of 10% to 60%
I hope they take it on to make clear that Freedom Bullshit will not be tolerated.
but that's just me.

That's a straight up fallacy right there. Understanding husbandry doesn't help with understanding the nature of animals. The fact is they debated whether animals had "souls" and assumed fish didn't feel pain. He grew up in a time of ignorance around animals, one that is just now beginning to wane.

No apprenticeship has ever been thought necessary to qualify for husbandry, the great trade of the country. After what are called the fine arts, and the liberal professions, however, there is perhaps no trade which requires so great a variety of knowledge and experience.

An agency sought, to aid the have naught
She reached for the pen and the form.
Without a card, you’ll have to starve
Makes hunger amidst riches the norm.

The farmer feeds, independent of needs
With fields untilled and frigid.
Subsidy checks harvest his respect
While land husbandry grows more rigid.

Husbandry is the foundation of civilization - all sustenance derives from it, as well as the principal benefits and blessings that civilization brings.

This baby snake at work has become my personal passion project. It’s an amelanistic corn snake like one I have at home, about the same size and age, but it refuses food most of the time. The store had it 5 weeks when I started and it hadn’t eaten at all yet…⬇️ #CornSnake #Husbandry

"that denomination of people, by whom the business of agriculture is carried on" which is how David Davies in 1795 described "Labourers in Husbandry" in his book on their conditions.

Animal Crossing is kind of a gross title come to think of it. Sounds like the term for human-animal crossbreeding, y'know? Sorta like animal husbandry or some shit.

Split from the church in 1832 over their different interpretations of the term “animal husbandry”; founded a spiritual retreat and dairy farm but failed to recruit enough followers to pay the land rent; died of foot and mouth contracted from one of his bovine “wives”

Captive animals wild and domestic can live 2-3x as long as free-roaming animals due to better nutrition, human husbandry, and veterinary care. Natural selection works because many animals die before they can complete their life cycle, while the survivors may suffer chronic illness & injury.

Why didn’t it also go the other way? Did the people in the Americas have better hygienic practices with their animals? Or just simply not engage in domestic animal husbandry to the level it was in Europe?

For one thing, it 'cuts' through one's body via cross-sectioning.

AND, no such thing as routine. They're looking for "something" medically amiss. They're sw costly. We had (after hours) performing MRIs on dogs & cats. Those veterinarians who have access for horses, cattle - large animal husbandry.
Forgive the grammer but AINT NO SUCH THING AS A ROUTINE MRI!!!
Something wrong with the old orange dude.

You get an MRI to see what is causing said complaint by patient.
