UNIT is equipped with an 405 panel in "Day of the Daleks". In "The Monster of Peladon" the mine's refinery contains a computer make in part by an ICT 1301 panel. GE-635 panels appear in the control room of planet Spaceball. CIA headquarters is equipped with a GE 635 in "Get Smart, Again!".

Professor Kirrin has an ICT 1301 on Kirrin Island that he uses to do his research in "The Famous Five". ICT 1301 panels appear in the Nerva Beacon's two control rooms in "Doctor Who".

The ICT 1301 was a British built and designed, second-generation computer (one which marks the move from valve/vacuum tube technology to transistors).

From what I have read, the ICT1301 wasn't even that old. Weird to think that within ten years of its first release, it was being used on Doctor Who.

Very sad news to hear of the passing of Dr Raymond "Dickie" Bird at the incredible age of 101. Designer of the HEC1 and the ICT 1301 (a 2nd generation transistor computer which you can try out at ict1301.virtualcolossus.co.uk).
