Reviewing: Death at the Sanatorium (Helgi #2) by Ragnar Jónasson
Death at the Sanatorium wrapped me up in an eerie Icelandic vibe with a mystery that slowly but surely hooked me. The dual timelines kept things interesting, and you can definitely feel Jónasson’s love for classic detective stories in the way he builds suspense. The pacing is steady, not a race, but enough to keep the pages turning. The ending didn’t quite deliver the punch I was hoping for, but the journey there was atmospheric and satisfying enough to earn a spot on my shelf. If you’re into layered mysteries with a Nordic twist, this one’s worth the read.
