Rolling charts like this do a nice job of illustrating the ideas of interdependence Jon's talking about here. You can see when the xG (attack) is high, the defence become more effective and xGA drops. The lines move broadly in sync. They rarely move entirely in isolation to one another. #COYS

It's not like Carnegie was a man of the people, but the mere fact of making steel meant that he was embedded in local social networks. He'd wage war on those people, but there was a clear relationship of interdependence (terms to be decided). With tech & finance, they're just unmoored. Anti-human.

re: AWS Outage, ROBLOX outage, etc
Welcome to the interdependence of the internet! There are just a few major cloud service providers and they offer full solutions to run applications, systems, etc. So people build entire things on the platform, and when one of these goes down, it affects so much

we’re always going to have big multi region and cross border dependencies, which is part of what makes the internet (and internationalism) so great, but maybe we can have global interdependence while also having local resilience

Let the quiet ones rise.

A Monarch butterfly soaks up the sun on a burst of purple wildflowers. Wings wide, colors bold, caught mid-snack in a quiet moment of nature doing its thing.

As digital interdependence deepens, supply chains are under siege. 61% faced breaches this year so far, and the ability to protect them effectively is questionable; the threat web keeps expanding. Check out my full post on Quora: qr.ae/pCK00Z

Udogie also looks like he significantly improves the side. Xavi and Odobert look better for having him there, and Xavi has looked far worse when he's not playing. It all plays into this idea of relativity and interdependence of defence and attack.

I'd put a vote in for Of gods and mortals too. Great game that's somewhat overlooked. You'll have (generally) under 20 infantry, a max of 5 legends and a god. Brilliant interdependence throughout each tier of unit.

Then when there's enough painted, move up to some battles of Midgard!

In a world where power likes to highlight differences among us, our spiritual work is to remember our interdependence. It's not about erasing individuality, but recognizing the source.

1/ Weaponized interdependence has proliferated and the US doesnt seem ready: “China has really begun to figure out how to take a leaf from the U.S. playbook and in a certain sense play that game better than the U.S. is currently playing it,” Mr. Farrell said.

"war is good for business" Not anymore! With sufficient economic interdependence, war is a pointless waste. with enough capital, any rational opposition can be bought out.
Theocracy-Colony Light Of The World is not rational opposition. Hostile acquisition is therefore necessary.

Needing your partner isn't inherently a bad thing of course - we are social creatures and interdependence is healthy, and most people do need other people socially, financially, or otherwise.

Can we retire the "father of.."? (Mother Jones' headline not the author's). Especially for Disability Rights where interdependence, not individual leadership is key, and where there are many prominent mother/advocate figures, notably Zona Roberts. As well as many problematic parents (not her though)

5/More generally, this is part of a confluence of two phenomena that @himself.bsky.social and I have worked on. First, it is the use of transnational politics by political factions to transform politics in other countries. We called it the New Interdependence Approach.
