I know that there have been some “friendly fire” incidents where Israelis took out fellow terror group leaders and their foot soldiers, but I didn’t realize there had been that many similar incidents!

#OTD 30 years ago - I took part in a rallye in support of Yitzchak Rabin‘s courageous step towards a peaceful coexistence between Israelis & Palestinians. After this rallye in Tel Aviv, Rabin was assassinated. I‘ve kept the newspaper covering the moment before his death until today

Rubbish. Both states were established under international law and are predominantly occupied by settlers or descendants of settlers.

In my experience the key to this is that there has been a carefully manufactured image of "The Zionist" placed in these people's heads: a loutish, physically ugly lumpen immigrant from Brooklyn who just moved into a stolen Palestinian home, and that image has entirely blotted out actual Israelis.
